Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading planning consultancy with the appointment of a Planner to join their growing team in Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Planner with 1+ years'' experience who is looking to develop their career, gain greater responsibility and work towards Senior Planner level.

The successful candidate will ideally hold an RTPI-accredited Masters and have a solid grounding in the UK planning system. The business is keen to invest in the right individual, providing exposure to a varied project portfolio and the support needed to progress towards Senior level.

What you''ll be doing

• Supporting projects from inception through to planning application and decision, gaining increasing responsibility as your experience develops.
  * Working alongside senior planners on medium and large-scale projects.
  * Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals and supporting documents.
  * Undertaking planning research, policy reviews and site appraisals.
  * Liaising with local planning authorities and statutory consultees.
  * Attending client meetings, site visits and project meetings alongside senior colleagues.
  * Developing your understanding of planning strategy and providing support on client advice.
  * Keeping up to date
