The Role
As a Town Planner, you will be responsible for managing planning applications and appeals, providing expert advice to clients, and ensuring projects progress efficiently. You will be liaising with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders, conducting feasibility studies and site appraisals, and collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to deliver integrated property solutions.
You will be expected to stay up to date with changes in legislation and planning policy, ensuring your advice is current and compliant. Additionally, you will support business development efforts by building strong client relationships and contributing to the consultancy''s growth. This is a role where you will be given responsibility, autonomy, and the chance to influence the success of high-profile projects.
Skills and Experience
You will bring:
·A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
·RTPI membership or eligibility preferred.
·Proven experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy environment.
·Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policy, and procedures.
·Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
·The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
