Barnsley Council have an exciting opportunity for two Town Centre Wardens to join the team based in Barnsley. You will join us on a full-time, fixed term contract until 31st March 2030. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £31,537 - £34,434 per annum. About the Post: Join our team and make a difference in Barnsley town centre. If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Safer Neighbourhood Service as a Town Centre Warden in Barnsley town centre. The Safer Neighbourhood Service is a diverse team focusing on a range of statutory and non-statutory functions including, but not limited to community safety, anti-social behaviour, environmental crime and blight and all tenure housing management and regulation. The main aims of the role will be to: Work closely with a range of stakeholders to reduce and prevent crime and anti-social behaviour. Engage pro-actively with those involved in anti-social behaviour and identify those responsible. Discharge a broad range of summary enforcement powers in a proportionate and professional manner including any powers delegated by the Chief Constable.
