This is a hands-on role where you''ll work as part of an experienced team, ensuring tooling is produced and maintained to the highest standards while minimising production downtime.The Role As a Toolroom Operative, you will: Manufacture, maintain and repair press and shear tooling.Carry out fault finding and tool modifications.Operate both CNC and manual machine tools, including milling, turning, surface grinding and wire EDM.Read and interpret engineering drawings, working to tight tolerances.Support production by responding to tooling breakdowns and ensuring planned try-out dates are achieved.Assist with continuous improvement activities across the Toolroom.Work safely and maintain high housekeeping standards at all times. About You We''re looking for someone who has: Previous experience within a Toolroom or Toolmaker position.Strong knowledge of press and shear tooling manufacture and maintenance.Experience using both CNC and conventional machine tools.The ability to read and interpret engineering ..... full job details .....
