Yolk Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Toolmaker to join a growing engineering team within a precision manufacturing environment.

This role offers a varied workload, combining precision tool manufacture, refurbishment, tooling improvements and engineering support. You''ll work closely with Production, Product Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure tooling meets the demands of a fast-moving manufacturing operation.

This is what you''ll be doing

You''ll be responsible for supporting production through the manufacture, improvement and maintenance of precision tooling using a range of conventional and semi-CNC machine tools.

• Manufacture new tooling and tooling components from engineering drawings
• Refurbish, modify and improve existing tooling
• Work on tooling projects supporting new products and manufacturing developments
• Provide practical engineering solutions to manufacturing challenges
• Contribute to tooling innovation, process improvement and operational efficiency

The experience you''ll bring to the team

• Proven Toolmaker or Toolroom Engineering experience
• Strong manual and CNC machining capability
• Experience producing precision tooling to demanding tolerances
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

There''s also some must haves

• Apprentice-trained or equivalent engineering background
• Milling and turning experience
• Ability to work a rotating two-shift pattern
