Toolmaker - Full Or Part Time

Overview We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker, ideally someone with a high level of experience in internal / cylindrical grinding, and standard toolroom equipment. We are highly interested in individuals with experience in taper grinding. Duties Producing high precision tooling for the assembly / disassembly of machine tool spindles. Operate toolroom machinery, lathes, mills, grinders and bench work. Produce 1 off replacement components Check dimensions with measuring instruments Support manufacturing in achieving customer satisfaction, quality and production targets Working to health and safety standards. Organised and working to a high standard, keeping work area clean and tidy. Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications HND/HNC/apprenticeship or industry experience. Be tenacious and be able to demonstrate out of box thinking ability to find solutions. Able to work in a team environment or on your own. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in grinding, milling, turning Ability to work with hand tools effectively and safely. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in tool assembly and maintenance. Experience in tooling design and production support is highly desirable.
