Toolmaker (Production Toolroom)East SussexUp to £43,000 + BenefitsFull-Time Rotating ShiftsOverviewAn established manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker to support its internal toolroom function.This is a hands-on position focused on maintaining and repairing tooling within a live production environment, rather than purely new tool manufacture. You ll be part of a small, skilled team supporting a fast-paced operation where tooling reliability directly impacts output.The RoleYou ll be responsible for:• Manufacturing, repairing and modifying tooling to support production• Responding to tooling breakdowns and restoring production capability• Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances• Producing complex, multi-part tooling assemblies• Carrying out manual machining operations including milling, turning and grinding• CNC machining where required (programming at machine control beneficial)• Supporting ongoing improvements in tooling performance• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtimeWhat We re Looking For• Proven experience working as a Toolmaker within a production environment• Strong background in tool repair, maintenance and modification• Confident with manual machining (milling, turning, grinding)• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings• Experience working to tight tolerances and deadlines• Comfortable operating within a busy, production-led toolroom• Flexible approach and willingness to support wider ..... full job details .....
