A global Tier 1 Automotive manufacturer are looking for two Toolmakers (Die Maintenance Technicians) to join their team at their impressive site in Telford
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and adaptable Toolmaker with a strong technical background within a fast-paced, press or mould environment. Operating in a fast-paced facility, you will report to the Assistant Manager in the Jig, Die and Tool section and provide routine maintenance, assembly and disassembly to press and injection mould tools
This is a fantastic opportunity with a multi-national Automotive company who supply to some the biggest OEM’s in the industry
The Toolroom department is currently operating on a Double Days shift pattern
 
Role: Toolmaker (Die Maintenance Technician)
Location: Telford
Salary: £41,400 - £43,700
Shift: Double Days (07:00 – 15:00 and 15:00 – 23:00)
 
The key responsibilities of the Toolmaker role will be:

- Assemble and disassemble new tools, moulds, dies, and fixtures to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Modify, maintain and repair existing tooling to maintain production efficiency.
- Carry out inspections to ensure components meet tight tolerances.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to improve tool performance and longevity.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and materials used

The key requirements of the Toolmaker will be:

- Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast paced manufacturing environments such as Automotive
- Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Willingness to work double days shifts

- Experience on mould and press tools
