This is a varied, hands-on position involving the manufacture, maintenance and improvement of tooling used within a busy production environment. The role will suit someone who enjoys practical engineering, problem-solving and working closely with production and engineering colleagues. The Role Manufacture, modify, repair and maintain press tooling, forming tools, jigs and fixtures. Work from engineering drawings and specifications to produce accurate tooling. Carry out precision fitting, assembly and bench work. Identify and resolve tooling and production issues. Support tooling trials and the introduction of new or modified tooling. Work closely with production, engineering and machining teams to improve tooling performance. Make modifications and improvements to existing tooling to improve reliability, quality and production efficiency.
