Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on-Trainee Manufacturing Toolmaker. This role provides practical experience in supporting the build and assembly of jigs, fixtures, and tooling, as well as assisting with mechanical integration tasks in automated and robotic assembly environments.

Working alongside experienced Toolmakers, you will develop core skills in machining, tool assembly, and die maintenance, including disassembly, preparation, fitting, and die spotting processes. The role also includes material preparation, basic non-CNC machining, and interpreting CAD data and engineering drawings.

You will attend a recognised training provider alongside your on-the-job learning, working towards formal qualifications and progression into a fully qualified Toolmaker role.

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include operating manual machinery under supervision, assisting with tool fitting and bench work, preparing materials and kits, supporting tooling and automation projects, and adhering to quality, safety, and BOM requirements.

Essential Experience:

Candidates should have some manufacturing or shopfloor experience, a basic understanding of mechanical processes, and a strong willingness to learn and develop.
