Tooling Design Engineer

World Class Defence Organisation based in is currently looking to recruit 2x Tooling Design Engineer subcontractors. Rate: £50.00 per hour Overtime Rate: Hours worked over the standard 37 hours per week, will be paid at ''time and a quarter''Location: Bolton Hybrid / Remote working: 2 days per week onsite - the rest working from home. A 4 day week (Monday to Thursday) is OK. Duration: 6 Months with very likely extension. Contracts are often ongoing and long-term thereafter. IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)Interview process: One stage video interview Tooling Design Engineer Job Description: The Tool Design Team is at the heart of a rapidly evolving and high demand sector, delivering smart, adaptable tooling solutions across a wide range of aerospace projects.Responsibilities: Deliver practical and innovative tool design solutions Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals Re-engineer existing solutions updating models, configuration and associated documentation. Manage your own project timelines and priorities ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. Skillset/experience required: Ideally HNC/HND qualified with significant experience in Tool Design and Definition Must have a significant amount of 3D modelling experience and be able to assess 3D models for their quality.
