Tool Setter Team Leader

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Tool Setter Team Leader to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technical professional looking to step into (or continue in) a leadership role while remaining close to the shop floor.The successful candidate will lead a small team of Tool Setters, ensuring efficient production performance, minimal downtime, and high-quality tooling standards. You will play a key role in coordinating daily activities, resolving technical issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Roles and Responsibilities: Leading and supervising a small team of Tool SettersDelegating daily workload and prioritising tasks to meet production schedulesPerforming and overseeing tool changes and machine set-upsCreating, modifying and maintaining tooling fixturesTroubleshooting and resolving shop floor issues efficientlyReducing downtime through proactive problem-solvingSupporting process improvements and lean manufacturing initiativesEnsuring compliance with health and safety standardsTraining and mentoring team members to develop skills and capabilityLiaising with production, maintenance and engineering teams The Ideal Candidate Proven experience as a Tool Setter within a manufacturing environmentPrevious experience leading or supervising a small teamStrong knowledge of tooling, fixtures and machine set-upAbility to diagnose and resolve shop floor production issuesExcellent ..... full job details .....
