Driven by continuous improvement and technical excellence, they are currently seeking an organised, detail-oriented Tool Room Operator to join their team.This role is initially offered on a long-term temporary basis, with a distinct view to transition into a permanent contract for the right candidate.The Role:To manage and control all tooling required for production, ensuring correct storage, traceability, and availability. This role sits under the Technical department and supports process improvement by providing accurate tooling data, reducing delays, and extending tool life.Key Responsibilities:Receive, log, and issue all new and existing tooling. Maintain an accurate digital and physical inventory system, ensuring everything is stored securely in a labelled, controlled environment.Help implement and champion a new digital tooling control system (utilising barcoding, databases, or tracking software).Clean, inspect, and verify roller units, preform heads, and postformers prior to production use to guarantee they meet strict specifications.Track tool usage and wear (hours run, meters produced). Provide Technical Engineers with analytical data on tool failures, suggest 5S storage layout improvements, and assist with tooling trials.Minimise production delays by ensuring the correct tools are fully prepared ahead of ..... full job details .....
