Tool Maker/Manual Machinist

Tool Maker/FitterPerm Role, £33k-£40k pa DOE, Days, 37hrs per week, Mon-Thurs, OvertimeWETHERBYI am looking for an experienced Tool Maker/Fitter, with good knowledge of Conventional Engineering techniques, to work for an Engineering/Manufacturing company based in Wetherby. The business is commutable from York, Leeds or Harrogate and this is a great opportunity to join a busy and growing company.Required Experience: Experienced tool room operative within the engineering sector Excellent Manual Milling skills TIG Welding knowledge would be beneficial Grinding and Polishing experience Capable of reading complex engineering drawings Knowledge of Bridgeport XYZ Axis Milling Machine would be advantageous Strong understanding of providing accuracy and quality Ability to work to both independently and well within a team Adhering to all Quality and HandS StandardsOther desired skills required include: Manual Turning and Boring experience would be beneficial Experience in Machining a wide range of specialist materials including Heavy Flame cut Structural Steels, High tensile steel, Aluminium, Brass, Bronze and Acetal Experience of working to ISO9001:2015 Ability to visually inspect work C/B FLT License would be beneficialThe core working hours for this role are 37hrs per week, 7.30am-5.15pm from Monday to Thursday. Overtime is always available and is paid at Time + 1/3 on weekdays and Time + on Saturdays.
