Timber Mill Operative 13.33 per hourWe are currently recruiting for a Timber Mill Operative to join a busy and hardworking team on a temporary to permanent basis.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, has a strong work ethic and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.Ideally, you will have experience using hand tools and machinery, an interest in maintenance or DIY, and a good eye for detail. Previous experience working with timber or in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial.Duties include:Operating mechanical wood-working machineryFeeding timber into machinery and removing finished productsOperating planer mouldersUsing a variety of hand tools, including hammers, drills, screwdrivers and nail gunsUsing chop saws, pull saws and push sawsReading drawings and working accurately from measurementsProducing timber products, including fence panelsWorking to tight deadlines and production timescalesCarrying out general manual handling and heavy liftingMaintaining a clean and safe working environmentSkills and Experience:Previous experience using hand tools; experience assembling wooden structures would be beneficialMachine minding or machinery experienceExperience working with timber or in a manufacturing environment is desirableAn interest in maintenance and DIYGood attention to detail and a high level of accuracyReliable with a strong work ethicGood organisational skillsExcellent timekeeping and ..... full job details .....
