This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, has a strong work ethic and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. Ideally, you will have experience using hand tools and machinery, an interest in maintenance or DIY, and a good eye for detail. Previous experience working with timber or in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial. Duties include: Operating mechanical wood-working machinery Feeding timber into machinery and removing finished products Operating planer moulders Using a variety of hand tools, including hammers, drills, screwdrivers and nail guns Using chop saws, pull saws and push saws Reading drawings and working accurately from measurements Producing timber products, including fence panels Working to tight deadlines and production timescales Carrying out general manual handling and heavy lifting Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Skills & Experience: Previous experience using hand tools; experience assembling wooden ...
