Role: TIG Welder
Start Date: Immediate Start
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday early finish
Location: Haverhill, Suffolk
Pay: -15.00 - -16.00 p/hour (DOE)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

We are recruiting for a TIG Welder to join a well-established sheet metal fabrication company. The business specialises in producing high-quality stainless steel and aluminium components, working from prefabricated parts that require fitting and welding to finish.

This is a hands-on TIG welding role working primarily with thinner gauge materials (1mm-6mm), producing neat, accurate welds to a high standard.

Duties:

• TIG welding stainless steel and aluminium components
• Fitting and assembling prefabricated parts prior to welding
• Occasional MIG welding as required
• Operating fabrication machinery (CNC press brake, punch, guillotine - desirable)
• Supporting other workshop operations when needed
• Working independently and as part of a team
• Ensuring all work meets customer requirements and deadlines
• Following all health & safety procedures

Skills & Requirements:

• Proven TIG welding experience (essential)
• Experience working with thinner gauge materials (1-6mm)
• Ability to read engineering/fabrication drawings
• Previous experience in sheet metal or fabrication environments (desirable)
• Machining experience advantageous but not essential
• Good attention to detail and quality-focused approach
• Reliable and able to work both independently and within a team

Pay & Hours:

• -15.00 - -16.00 p/hour (depending on experience)
• Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00
• Early finish on Fridays
• Temp position
• Overtime may be available
