TIG Welder

We are recruiting an experienced TIG Welder for contract work on a nuclear site near Preston.
This role requires proven experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel pipework in highly regulated environments, such as nuclear, oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation.
This is a full-time, site-based role, so local candidates are preferred.

• Location: Preston area

• Start: ASAP (subject to BPSS / SC clearance - typically 1-2 weeks)

• Duration: 6-month initial contract, likely extension

• Future work available in Chester with the same client

• Hours: 39 per week
  • Mon-Thurs 8.5 hrs
  • Fri 5 hrs

• Overtime: Possible but not guaranteed

• Rate: -27.00 per hour

• Pay: CIS or Umbrella PAYE

• Time-served Welder / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

• Proven TIG welding experience on carbon & stainless steel pipe

• Experience working to WPS / weld procedures

• Previous work in nuclear / oil & gas / heavy industrial environments

• Ability to pass site weld tests if required

• CCNSG / Safety Passport preferred

• Must be eligible for BPSS and SC clearance

Candidates must be comfortable working within a highly regulated nuclear environment.
