Tig Welder

Straight-Line Civils are currently looking for a 6G TIG Welder on day-shifts on a clients premises near Walsall.

This is on a temp-to-perm basis. Once initial training period is completed, you will be hired directly via the client.-

Key Responsibilities:

• Coded welding on pipe and plate
• 2G or 6G, TIG, MIG, and Pulse MIG Welding positions on pipe
• Welding of stainless and carbon steel tubes (Butt Welds and Fillets) and plates
• Positional welding on pressure vessels, boilers, pressure parts and super heater pipework, etc

The ideal candidate:

• Will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Be confident with 6G TIG welding
• Will have had previous qualifications/coding''s
• Weld trade test will be required, which will be x-rayed
• Will have the ability to butt welds (tube to tube) and pass X-ray. DPI and MPI

Shift Pattern - 7.54am-4.30pm Mon to Thurs / 7.54am-1.30pm Fridays

Overtime Pay - Monday to Friday: Time + Third / Saturday: Time + Half / Sunday: Double Time

Holiday - 26 days + 8 days of bank holiday
