      <description>Location: Sussex | Salary: 15.00-15.00 Hourly | Type: Permanent | Our engineering client is looking for a specialist TIG welder to work in their Lancing manufacturing facility. The work will mainly involve welding tubular material using the TIG welding process (GTAW). Most of the applications are architectural, so it is very important to be able to work to very high finish standards. Most of the work will be using stainless tube with wall thicknesses ranging from 1.5 to 3mm. Salary would be dependent on results from an in house welding test and experience, with the higher £18 rate requiring someone to act as a welding team leader/supervisor with additional responsibilities. It is therefore important that you could demonstrate during a weld test that you could produce quality welds on tubular material using the TIG welding process. The material could be stainless or aluminium. The job is initially for a twelve week period and then would go permanent after a successful trial period. The standard working week is 40 hours, 8.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Friday s. 1 hr for lunch break 1-2 p.m. hr breaks a.m. and p.m. Overtime after minimum of 40 hrs paid at Time and a Half.
