Role: 2nd Line Technical Support Engineer - Temp-to-PermLocation: Knutsford, Cheshire (5 days onsite)Contract: Temp-to-perm - initial contract with view to permanentDay Rate: £180 - £220/day (Inside IR35, via umbrella)Perm equivalent on conversion: £29,000 + clear progressionShifts: Rotating shift pattern - 06:00-14:30 / 14:00-22:30 / nights (9-5 for the first two weeks during onboarding)Start: ImmediateThe opportunity We''re working with a growing technology business that''s expanding its engineering function. They''ve already built a strong small team and are now bringing in three additional 2nd Line Technical Support Engineers on a temp-to-perm basis - a genuine route into a permanent role with real progression behind it. This isn''t a phones-and-passwords desk. You''ll be the escalation point from 1st line, owning complex technical tickets end-to-end, getting hands-on with hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure, and learning directly from senior engineers.What you''ll be doing Resolving Level 2 tickets, incidents and escalations within SLA Troubleshooting complex system, network and platform issues using logs, monitoring tools and your own diagnostic instincts Performing intermediate configurations, installations and updates across hybrid cloud and on-premises systems Producing root cause analysis on recurring issues and feeding improvements back into the team Supporting CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tooling under guidance from senior engineers Escalating ..... full job details .....
