You would be working from drawings, specifications and take-offs to build accurate tender returns, speak with suppliers and specialist subcontractors, and help shape submissions that can actually win work. The role suits someone who understands the practical side of insulation as well as the commercial side. You will need to be comfortable pricing different insulation systems, finishes and thicknesses, while also allowing for labour, access, programme constraints, prelims and buildability. This is not thermal modelling or design calculation work. It is proper estimating within the mechanical package, with a clear focus on the thermal insulation scope.
