Theatre Technician

Job Title: Theatre Technician Salary: £16.90 per hour Location: Antrim and Newtownabbey Hours: On Call DEADLINE: Friday 24 th July Responsibilities: As a member of the Arts and Culture team, contribute to the effective delivery of operational objectives of the Arts and Culture Section. To assess and deliver the needs of visiting companies as appropriate, co-ordinate, communicate and facilitate their technical requirements and be an effective interface between external partners and Council employees. Responsible for ensuring the Health and Safety standards required by law in all areas of responsibility are observed and maintained and that duties are carried out within the Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 1978 and the Council''s safety policy. Supervise relevant technical activities onstage and backstage such that they are undertaken in line with Health and Safety Policy, associated procedures, safe systems of work and agreed Standard Operating Procedures. Also, undertake and review risk assessments, advising the Technical Manager of any suggested improvements or updates required. Work as show crew and supervise Casual Technicians, promoting good working practice, high production values and licensing requirements are followed.
