This is a hands-on role supporting our theatre team to deliver a safe, efficient and patient-focused service.Duties and responsibilities:Provide a reliable and efficient portering service within the theatre departmentEscort patients safely between wards, departments and theatresTransport equipment, specimens, records, linen and supplies as requiredSupport the theatre team with moving and positioning patients and equipmentAssist with preparing theatre areas and setting up equipmentMaintain a clean, safe and well-organised environmentFollow infection prevention and control and health and safety procedures at all timesWork as part of the wider theatre team to support the smooth running of the departmentWho we''re looking for:Experience in a porter or similar hands-on role, ideally within a healthcare settingComfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environmentA team player who can follow instructions and get stuck inA caring, professional approach with a focus on patient experienceGood understanding of health and safety and infection controlExperience of moving and handling patientsFamiliarity with theatre or clinical equipment is an advantageBenefits:We offer employed colleagues a competitive salary as well as a comprehensive benefits package which includes but is ..... full job details .....
