One of our outstanding secondary schools in Medway are seeking a talented and adaptable Design and Technology Teacher with a specialism in Textiles to join their team. This role will initially begin in April, covering a DT teacher, with the potential to extend until the end of the academic year.

The Role:


  • Flexible Teaching: Deliver engaging and pre-planned lessons in Design and Technology, focusing on Textiles or take on full teaching responsibilities, depending on your availability and preference.
  • Inspiring Lessons: Teach students across Key Stages 3 to 5, adapting teaching methods to suit varying abilities and ensuring excellent progress.
  • Creative Approach: Encourage practical skills and creativity while maintaining strong classroom management and an inclusive environment.
  • Student Progress: Assess and monitor studentsandrsquo; work, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement and achievement.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to deliver a consistent, high-quality Textiles curriculum aligned with national standards.

What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology with a focus on Textiles in a secondary school setting.
  • Adaptability: Ability to deliver pre-planned lessons or take on full teaching responsibilities, depending on the roleandrsquo;s requirements.
  • Excellent Classroom Management: A confident and approachable teacher who inspires respect and enthusiasm in students.
  • Enhanced DBS Check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Passion for DT: A genuine enthusiasm for Textiles and the ability to share that passion with students.
  • Commitment: A flexible and positive approach with a focus on delivering the best outcomes for students.
