Prospero are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Textiles Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Liverpool area. Please see below for further details:

Textiles Teacher

• Location - Liverpool, L12
• Position - Textiles Teacher
• Start date - April 2026
• Full time/part time - Full time
• Minimum rate of pay - Paid to scale
• Hours - 8:00 am - 16:00 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development & Delivery:Planning and delivering engaging textiles lessons, including a range of topics
• Practical Instruction:Demonstrating techniques using a range of resources
• Student Assessment:Setting, marking, and recording student work, and providing constructive feedback.
• Health & Safety:Maintaining a safe classroom environment, managing machinery, and ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.
• Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students'' overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
• Safeguarding: Ensuring the safeguarding procedure is followed when required

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Previous experience working with young people in a school setting
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references/cover 24 months worked
