We are looking for a skilled Test Technician. The Test technician plays a key role in ensuring products meet defined testing standards and quality requirements. This role is responsible for testing electronic and electro-mechanical equipment in accordance with customer specifications, identifying faults, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Test Technician, you will:
- Perform testing of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, including low voltage, 110V, 230V, 440V and EHT products, in accordance with approved test specifications and procedures.
- Operate a variety of commercial and bespoke test equipment to verify product performance and compliance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults to sub-assembly level, identifying root causes and supporting corrective actions.
- Record fault data accurately and initiate appropriate corrective action where required.
- Identify issues with test equipment and coordinate repair or maintenance activities.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and workplace organisation while ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Complete all documentation and electronic records accurately, including ERP transactions, to ensure full product traceability.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing practices, and 6S activities across the business.
What You''ll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience performing production testing using both commercial off-the-shelf and bespoke analogue test equipment.
- The ability to interpret and work from manufacturing documentation, including engineering drawings, bills of materials, and test specifications.
- Practical experience using standard electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with the ability to troubleshoot to sub-assembly level.
- The ability to read and understand circuit diagrams and wiring schedules.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality, precision, and accuracy.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of ESD requirements and IPC-A-610/620 standards.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Technical qualification in Electronics or a related discipline.
- IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-A-620 certification.
- Experience in electrical assembly, precision cable preparation, and soldering techniques.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle test equipment and products as required.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when business needs demand.
