An opportunity to join a leading, multi-disciplinary engineering team as a Test Technician within a well-equipped test facility based in Basildon. This role supports the preparation, setup, and maintenance of mechanical and environmental testing systems, contributing to high-profile projects in electric vehicles, defence, and advanced RandD sectors. This Test Technician job will suit: A hands-on Technician / Mechanical Technician / Engineering Technician who enjoys building, assembling, setting up test rigs, and supporting mechanical testing processes. You will likely hold a Level 3 or Level 4 qualification (such as BTEC, HNC, or similar) in Mechanical Engineering or have equivalent practical experience in a test/laboratory environment. Strong practical skills using hand tools, basic machine tools (pillar drills, mills, lathes), and basic measurement instruments (calipers, gauges, multimeters). Confident working both independently and in a team, with a methodical approach and a good understanding of safety procedures in a technical test environment.
