Test Lead??500 - Inside IR35Remote Working3-6 Months (very likely to be extended)

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Tester to join a dynamic public sector organisation at the forefront of data-driven transformation. You will lead testing efforts across complex ETL processes and large-scale data systems, applying your expertise in Python and modern testing frameworks to validate data accuracy, performance, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough evaluations of software applications to identify defects, ensure functionality, and enhance overall user experience.Design, execute, and maintain both manual and automated test cases to validate usability, performance, and reliability.Develop and manage detailed test plans, scripts, and reports, ensuring traceability to business requirements.Create and maintain robust, scalable test automation scriptsprimarily using tools like Playwrightbased on well-defined requirements.Review user stories and technical requirements to define test conditions and ensure comprehensive test coverage, including non-functional testing for APIs and UIs.

Experience Required

Proven experience in testing Big Data, Data Warehousing, and ETL processes, with a strong understanding of data quality, validation, and transformation workflows.Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience using testing frameworks such as Pytest, Behave, or other tools commonly used in data testing environments.Demonstrated leadership in managing end-to-end testing efforts within Agile teams, including planning, coordination, and execution across multiple concurrent projects.Skilled in both manual and automated testing, with the ability to design, develop, and maintain effective test suites tailored to data-driven applications.Experience mentoring junior testers and fostering a culture of quality through the promotion of testing best practices, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.500.00/day
