Test Engineer - UI/API/NFT - Active SC Clearance - Inside IR35

Job Description We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Test Engineer to support the development and delivery of high-quality digital services, enterprise applications and microservices-based systems. The successful candidate must have practical experience in API test automation, UI test automation and performance/non-functional testing, with strong programming skills in Java and/or TypeScript. This is a hands-on technical testing role requiring candidates to personally develop, execute, maintain and troubleshoot automated tests, rather than focusing primarily on test coordination or management. Key ResponsibilitiesAPI Test Automation Develop, execute and maintain automated REST API tests using Java with REST Assured and/or TypeScript-based frameworks. Create automated functional, integration, regression and negative API test scenarios. Validate HTTP methods, status codes, JSON/XML responses, authentication and error handling. Develop reusable test scripts, assertions, test utilities and test data. Support API testing across microservices and distributed applications. UI Test Automation Develop and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright with TypeScript and/or Selenium WebDriver with Java. Build automated functional, regression, smoke and end-to-end UI tests. Implement reusable page objects, locators, assertions and automation utilities. Investigate automation failures and improve test reliability.
