Job Title: Test EngineerLocation: Hybrid working, with occasional client-site travel as requiredContract Type: Permanent, Full-TimeSalary: £50,000 - £55,000, plus benefitsStart Date: ASAPThe RoleAs a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software delivered across our programmes. Working within an agile environment, you will develop and maintain robust test automation while collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and advocate for quality throughout the development life cycle. You will be comfortable working with minimal supervision, proactively identifying risks, and mentoring other testers to help build a culture of continuous improvement. Tech Stack Playwright (mandatory) Node.js Spring Boot MongoDB GitLab AWS What You''ll Be Doing Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, and test reports. Ensure software meets user requirements and performance expectations. Produce, maintain, and evolve comprehensive, robust, and reliable test automation scripts in a CI/CD environment, sourced directly from business requirements. Document defects, highlight risk, propose solutions, and monitor issues through to resolution. Review requirements, define test conditions, and create manual and automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright. Apply understanding of CI/CD approaches and tooling across AWS and Git.
