About the Role
The Test Engineer Rocket Engines will define test equipment and setup specifications for thrust systems and rocket engineering in Cheltenham. This permanent position involves procurement, fabrication, and assembly of propellant and pressurant feed systems, plus ground support equipment. Candidates need solid chemical rocket knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and basic electrical understanding, ideally from spacecraft propulsion work. Suited to graduates in mechanical, aeronautical, or aerospace engineering, or physics, who enjoy practical tasks involving fluidic controls and mechanical fitting. The salary ranges from £28,000 to £45,000 annually, with a full-time working pattern. Prior experience with space standards is advantageous for this hands-on technical role.
Test Engineer required to to generate test equipment and testing setup requirements, with a view to performing test equipment and test set-up design of thrust systems and rocket Engineering. Your role will include the procurement, fabrication and assembly of Test Site Propellant and Pressurant feed systems, GSE and EGSE.
You will have an excellent understanding of chemical rocket engineering, mechanical engineering and some electrical engineering the ideal candidate will have spacecraft chemical propulsion exposure.
This role would suite someone who has graduated in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, Physics or similar with an interest in hands on practical engineering, mechanical fitter, rocket engines, fluidic control systems or any space standard experience.
