This is a hands-on role covering the specification, sourcing, testing and validation of IoT devices and sensors, making sure connected features work reliably before products reach the market.Location: Basildon, Essex. Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 (DoE - More junior people very much considered!) plus benefits package. Working arrangement: hybrid, 2 to 3 days in the office per week. What you''ll be doingSpecify, source and procure off-the-shelf IoT devices, sensors and hardware systems that meet product requirementsDesign and run DVT/PVT testing protocols to validate smart technologies under real-world conditionsTroubleshoot integration issues across physical, electronic and data interfacesAct as the technical point of contact for hardware suppliers, test labs and manufacturing vendorsTrack integration milestones, timelines and risks using tools like Jira, Trello or ExcelMaintain accurate validation logs, schematics and component specification sheetsWhat you need to bringA degree in Electrical, Electronic, Systems or Mechanical engineering, or equivalent practical experience with IoT devices, electrical and/or embedded systems.Proven experience testing, validating and debugging hardware, sensors or connected devices Practical knowledge of wireless protocols such as BLE, ..... full job details .....
