Test & Commissioning Engineer

Storrington, West Sussex | Up to -55,000 DOE + Benefits + International Travel

Placr''s client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced superconducting magnet systems and is looking to recruit an experienced-Test & Commissioning Engineer to join their specialist engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, taking projects from factory testing through to installation and commissioning at customer sites across the UK and worldwide.

The Role

Test and commission superconducting magnet systems at the Storrington facility.
Carry out vacuum leak testing, calibration, cooldown and system energisation.
Complete Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and QA documentation.
Install and commission equipment at customer sites worldwide.
Work closely with design and production teams to deliver successful projects.
Support customer acceptance and provide technical expertise on-site.

International travel is a key part of the role, with overseas assignments typically lasting up to three weeks.

About You

Engineering qualification or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
Experience in test, commissioning, installation or service engineering.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Experience with MRI systems, cryogenics, helium leak testing or high-vacuum systems would be advantageous.
Willing and able to travel internationally.
