Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Tower Hamlets Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 12 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience We are looking for a Tenancy Enforcement Officer this role will be based at: E1 1BJ, work on-site full-time during their probationary period. Following the successful completion of probation, a hybrid working arrangement will be available. The right candidate will: Proactively identify and investigate suspected non-occupation, unlawful subletting, housing fraud and other misuse of temporary accommodation. Undertake tenancy and occupancy investigations in accordance with Council policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Conduct property visits and inspections to establish actual occupation, household circumstances and compliance with tenancy conditions. Gather, verify, record and assess evidence from a range of sources to support tenancy enforcement investigations. Interview tenants, occupants, witnesses and other relevant individuals as part of investigations. Investigate discrepancies between tenancy records, occupancy information and information obtained from other sources. We require the following: Significant experience working within housing, homelessness, tenancy management, tenancy enforcement, housing fraud or a related local authority environment.
