Temporary Works Construction Manager

The Temporary Works Construction Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, design oversight, and safe execution of all temporary works associated with construction activities. This role ensures compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements throughout the lifecycle of temporary works.Temporary works may include scaffolding, formwork, falsework, excavation supports, propping, access platforms, and lifting arrangementsKey ResponsibilitiesPlanning and Coordination Develop and implement the Temporary Works Management Plan (TWMP).Ensure all temporary works are identified, designed, and scheduled in line with project programmes.Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and site management to integrate temporary works into construction sequences.Maintain the Temporary Works Register. Design and Engineering Oversight Ensure all temporary works designs are carried out by competent designers and properly checked (Category 0 3 checks).Review and approve temporary works designs where delegated authority is given.Verify that designs meet relevant standards (e.g., BS 5975 or equivalent).Ensure design briefs are complete and accurately reflect site conditions.
