About the Role
A Temporary Part Time Retail Assistant is required to support daily operations at a Kew location in Richmond upon Thames. This role involves 17.5 hours per week on a rota basis, with weekend availability essential. The position starts immediately and runs until 31st October 2026, paying up to £14.24 per hour. Key responsibilities include maintaining professional service standards with customers and volunteers, organising and pricing donations, replenishing stock, and processing cash and card transactions. The successful candidate will act as a reliable contact for volunteers and assist with rota management. A valid DBS is required. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional service standards when interacting with customers and volunteers.
- Implementing systems to appropriately organise and price donations.
- Effectively replenishing the shop and ensuring the shop floor is always kept at a high-standard.
- Processing sales including handling cash and card transactions.
- Being a reliable point of contact for the volunteer team.
- Managing rotas and ensuring shifts are covered.
- Supporting the Store Manager with any, reasonably required administration tasks.
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
