Temporary Finance Support role (3 month contract) - Ringwood BH24 - 19 / 20 per hour Provide support to the day-to-day accounting function of the business. The Temporary Finance Support role also provides complete and accurate reporting for, and management of, all areas of the accounting and finance departments. Main tasks of the Temporary Finance Support role: Transaction Management: Records financial transactions, including payment receipts (BACS, cheques), claims payments, insurer settlements, and commission payments. Maintains a cash/float position for small expenses. Error and Risk Monitoring: Flags transactional discrepancies, reconciliation issues/speaks to the team Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepares and contributes to budget and forecast models; may finalise and submit for approval depending on seniority. Cashflow Monitoring: Tracks daily cash positions and ensures liquidity to meet claims, insurer settlements, and operational costs. Bordereaux Reporting: Produces and submits monthly bordereaux to insurers for premiums and cancellations. Reconciliations: Completes monthly bank reconciliations and insurer/broker account reconciliations. Supplier Management: Processes supplier invoices, monitors payment terms, and maintains suppliers. Month-End / Year-End Close. Financial Reporting: Prepares management accounts and other internal performance reports. Tax and IPT: Calculates and submits Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) returns.
