Temporary Finance Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Temporary Accounts Assistant to support our finance team during a busy period. The successful candidate will provide hands-on support across day-to-day finance operations and must be confident using Sage accounting software from day one.This role is ideal for someone with previous accounts experience who can quickly integrate into the team, work independently, and manage a busy workload with minimal supervision.Personal Attributes:Temporary assignment with immediate startThis assignment is 4 days a week / Monday to ThursdayHourly rate is £12.71p/h plus holiday payReconcile a supplier statementProven recent hands-on experience using Sage in the last 2 years Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel - copy, past, sum, etc save documentsWhat you will be doing as an Accounts Assistant:Processing purchase invoices and matching them to purchase orders using SageRaising and processing sales invoices and credit notesPosting and allocating customer receiptsReconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepanciesProcessing supplier payment runsPerforming bank reconciliationsAssisting with credit control and chasing overdue paymentsSupporting month-end finance processes including journals, accruals, and prepaymentsMaintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data is kept up to date in SageHandling finance queries from suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholdersSupporting the finance team with ad hoc accounting and administrative ..... full job details .....
