Location: Lockerbie
Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm (some flexibility available)
Contract: Temporary, 3 Months minimum
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who can hit the ground running and support a fast-paced accounts function.

Working within a supportive finance team and reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with a variety of transactional and analytical accounting duties.

Key responsibilities:

• Posting and allocating cash receipts
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable reconciliations
• Preparing and posting journals
• Employee ledger reconciliations
• Data analysis and reporting
• Costings and financial analysis
• Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day accounting duties

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum of 12 months'' experience in a similar Accounts Assistant position
• Proven experience carrying out reconciliations, journals, and transactional accounting activities
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
• Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to analyse and manipulate data
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (Navision) would be highly advantageous
• The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications such as AAT are welcome but are not essential for this temporary assignment.
