Temporary Accommodation Officer

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Temporary Accommodation Officer to join our Housing Solutions team. This role is key to supporting households placed in temporary accommodation, ensuring properties are safe, well-managed, and that residents receive the advice and assistance they need while awaiting permanent housing solutions.Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of households living in temporary accommodation, providing advice and guidance on housing options and tenancy sustainmentCarry out regular property inspections to ensure standards, health and safety, and contractual obligations are metAct as the main point of contact for households, landlords, and accommodation providers, resolving issues promptly and professionallyMonitor occupancy, voids, and usage of temporary accommodation to ensure efficient use of resourcesWork closely with colleagues across Housing Solutions, Repairs, and external partners to support households into settled housingMaintain accurate records and prepare reports in line with policies, procedures, and data protection requirementsAbout You

Experience working in housing management, homelessness, or temporary accommodation servicesKnowledge of housing legislation, homelessness duties, and safeguarding responsibilitiesStrong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with vulnerable households and partner agenciesGood organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesIT proficient with experience of using housing management systems or similar databasesA team player with a customer-focused approach and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for residentsIf you have the relevent skills then please apply ..... full job details .....
