TEMP - Technical Inspector

Hill and Hill Recruitment are seeking a Technical Inspector to work with one of our Local Authority clients based in London. Key Responsibilities You will play a key role in inspecting the Council s housing stock, carrying out surveys and providing accurate technical assessments of properties and building works. The role will involve undertaking property inspections, identifying defects and required remedial works, and preparing clear technical recommendations and specifications. You will work closely with contractors, surveyors, housing teams, property services and other internal stakeholders to ensure works are identified, progressed and completed to the required standard. You will monitor works on site, assess quality and progress, identify any issues or defects and ensure appropriate remedial action is taken. You will provide accurate information and updates relating to property condition, repairs, planned works and outstanding defects, maintaining appropriate records and reporting findings to senior colleagues. The role will involve attending properties and sites as required, liaising with residents, contractors and colleagues to resolve technical issues and ensure works are delivered effectively. You will support the wider surveying and asset management function by providing technical input into property inspections, condition assessments and works programmes.
