The opportunity

You're not building from scratch. This desk comes to you warm and working: 12 active client accounts and 80 temps currently out on assignment across the North East. The relationships exist, the revenue is flowing, and the order book is live. What it needs is someone to take ownership — service it properly, grow it commercially, and make it their own.

What you'll be doing

• Managing and developing a portfolio of 12 client accounts across the North East — from Sunderland to Newcastle, Washington to Durham
• Looking after 80 temporary workers on assignment: compliance, availability, performance, and retention
• Taking new job requirements and filling them fast, using the talent pool you already have
• Identifying gaps in the existing accounts and maximising the spend you're already entitled to
• Winning further new business within the region — the desk gives you the platform, not the ceiling
• Working closely with payroll, compliance, and back-office teams so temps get paid right and clients get what they ordered

What you'll need

• Recruitment experience — temp or contract desk preferred, but we'll consider related strong temp volume backgrounds with the right attitude
• A full UK driving licence (you'll be on site with clients and candidates)
• The self-motivation to run a desk like it's your own business
• Confidence on the phone and in front of clients
• Knowledge of the North East market is a real advantage
