Telehandler

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Telehandler Operator to join our construction team for ongoing long term work. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers to move, lift, and position materials efficiently across various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in commercial driving to contribute to large-scale projects in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Operate telehandlers safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials on-site
• Assist with the movement of heavy equipment such as excavators and other machinery as required
• Conduct routine inspections of the telehandler to ensure it is in good working condition and report any faults or issues
• Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment
• Coordinate with site managers and other team members to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Maintain accurate records of daily operations and equipment usage
• Support with general site duties when necessary, including assisting with mechanical tasks or equipment setup

Skills

• Proven experience in operating telehandlers in a construction or industrial setting
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues
• Experience with commercial driving, holding relevant licences and certifications
• Familiarity with excavators and other heavy machinery is desirable
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and site managers
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
