Telecommunications Engineer
Job Title: Telecommunications EngineerDay Rate: £200-225/day (OUTSIDE IR35)Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in Glasgow)Contract Length: 6 Months (extendable)Telecommunications Engineer - Role and ResponsibilitiesDeliver field engineering installation, commissioning, maintenance, and 1st line support activities across strategic telecoms and IP networks within utility environments.Ensure all projects and maintenance tasks are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with client and Vodafone quality standards.Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot telecoms and networking equipment including Cisco, Alcatel, SDH, PDH, MPLS, radio, and IP telephony systems.Complete project documentation, risk assessments, test records, maintenance reports, and communicate progress updates to project engineers and stakeholders.Provide 24x7x365 support and routine maintenance activities, responding promptly to faults, outages, and service requests while meeting SLA targets.Telecommunications Engineer - Required ExperienceProven experience in telecoms field engineering, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance of DC chargers, SDH/PDH, microwave radio, and IP networking systems.Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, MPLS, routing and switching, with hands-on experience of Cisco and Alcatel products.Ability to test, fault-find, and maintain telecoms infrastructure including fibre, pilot cables, IP telephony, and utility communication systems.Full UK Driving Licence ..... full job details .....
