Position: Telecoms Consultant
Location: Leatherhead – 5 days in the office
Rate: Outside IR35 DOE

Project: Major Middle East Oil & Gas Development
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Telecoms Engineer to support the design and delivery of complex telecommunications systems for a major onshore oil and gas project. The role involves developing technical specifications, preparing documentation, and performing evaluations for a range of telecom systems.
Key Systems:
LAN/WAN networks
Fibre optic cable systems
CCTV systems
Access control systems
Public Address General Alarm (PAGA) systems
PABX and hotline systems
Wireless, microwave, and TMR radio systems
Perimeter/fence intrusion detection systems
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure safety, reliability, and quality standards are met across all telecom systems.
Produce block diagrams, schematic diagrams, cable schedules, datasheets, interconnection/wiring diagrams, cabinet general arrangement drawings, material take-offs (MTOs), and layout drawings.
Prepare clear and concise technical reports, drawings, and schedules for onshore oil and gas installations.
Requirements:
Proven track record in greenfield and brownfield telecoms projects within the oil and gas industry.
Hands-on experience with telecom systems engineering for onshore installations.
Familiarity with Middle East oil and gas projects is essential.
Previous experience working on large-scale international projects preferred.
