Tekla Draughtsman

We are hiring a skilled Tekla Draughtsman to join an established design team in Bedfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with architectural metalwork experience to take on a varied role, producing detailed drawings and working closely with engineers and project teams on high-quality projects.

Salary: -45,000 - -55,000 (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:00am - 5:30pm (30 min lunch break)

Duties:

• Produce detailed 3D models and drawings for architectural metalwork including balconies, balustrades, staircases, and similar structures using Tekla Structures
• Prepare and issue General Arrangement (GA) drawings and fabrication packs
• Collaborate with engineers and the design manager to ensure drawings are accurate, compliant, and buildable
• Liaise with project teams to meet client requirements and deadlines
• Apply up-to-date knowledge of building regulations and relevant standards in all detailing work

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Tekla Structures with proven experience in architectural metalwork
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication and detailing practices
• Good knowledge of current building regulations and industry standards
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to commute to Bedfordshire for this office-based role
