The Technology Transfer Manager is a new and dynamic role within the Enterprise Team, playing a vital part in maximising the impact of the University''s innovation and commercialisation activity.Responsibilities
Support the development and management of technology transfer and knowledge exchange across the University.Identify opportunities for commercialisation, support the creation of spinouts, licensing agreements, and collaborative projects, and help secure new funding to enable innovation-led growth.Deliver outcomes from the University''s flagship Enterprise Engineering and Optics Centre (EEOC) project, ensuring that intellectual property, research outputs and innovation activities are translated into real-world benefits for industry, society, and the regional economy.Contribute to external funding initiatives, including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) and SMART Partnership projects, ensuring the University maximises opportunities to grow its commercial portfolio and build strong industry partnerships.Work closely with colleagues across the university to support academics, researchers and students in navigating innovation-to-commercialisation pathways, build long-term partnerships with external organisations, and promote a culture of entrepreneurship, knowledge transfer and knowledge exchange across the University.Disability Confident
