This is a prominent role where your ability to develop stakeholder relationships will be as important as your technology risk management skillsGain exposure to a broad range of business areas within Financial Crime to understand how we operate and our risk profileLead informed discussions of technology risk for relevant business areas and productsLead on technology controls for the Financial Crime technology business area as Risk and Control SMEMaintain corporate governance and risk committees, articulate risk appetite using the operational risk framework and material risk measuresAssess, review, and implement the technology controls relating to relevant operational and financial risksSupport the relevant business area in interactions with 2LOD and 3LOD to drive a joined-up view across the 3 lines of defenceWhat you''ll do
As a DigitalX and Technology Controls Lead, you’ll apply effective risk management and decision-making capability, anticipating and assessing the potential impacts of risk across the relevant business area. You’ll create a culture of continuous improvement, increasing efficiency and productivity through strong people leadership, coaching, engagement, and development of skills.Your role will also involve:Maintaining corporate governance and risk committees, formulating and articulating risk appetite using the operational risk framework and material risk measuresAssessing, reviewing, and implementing the technology controls relating to relevant operational and financial risksLeading on risk framework execution for the Financial Crime technology business area as Risk and Control SMESupporting the relevant business area in interactions with 2LOD and 3LOD to drive a joined-up view across the 3 lines of defenceThe skills you''ll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a highly skilled leader with experience of applying risk and control management in an operational and strategic context. You’ll also have experience maintaining corporate governance and risk committees, formulating and articulating risk and controls using the operational risk framework and material risk measures.Extensive understanding of the relevant businesses, specifically key products, and technology risks, to enable informed discussions of riskKnowledge of technology risks, specifically application-related risks and interactions with the infrastructureHigh-level understanding of conduct riskDemonstrated ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift rapidlyStrong senior stakeholder management skillsInfluencing and conflict resolution skills with the ability to view issues from a wider perspectiveCreative problem solving and the ability to identify alternatives where established procedures may not existSeniority level
