Technician / Workshop Controller

We are looking for an organised and proactive Technician / Workshop Controller to oversee the daily operations of our busy workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating workflow, managing technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining efficiency across all workshop activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, technical understanding, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Allocate work efficiently to technicians and monitor progress throughout the day Ensure workshop jobs are completed on time and to a high standard Manage workshop productivity and maximise utilisation Liaise with service advisors, parts departments, and customers where required Monitor repair quality and ensure compliance with health and safety standards Support technicians with technical guidance and problem-solving Ensure accurate completion of job cards and workshop documentation Maintain strong communication across departments to ensure smooth operations Requirements MOT tester qualification Strong organisational and leadership skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Good technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure Experience using workshop management systems is desirable Full UK driving licence preferred What We Offer Competitive salary Supportive team environment Company benefits ..... full job details .....
